Rich commenting is here! Manage your feedback and review on writeLaTeX #BackToSchool
Please note that this blog post refers to commenting in the Overleaf v1 platform. The new Overleaf provides an updated interface for commenting via the 'Review' tab.
Following hot on the heels of the integrated reference management tools we released on Monday, we've now launched a rich commenting platform to help you manage feedback and review of your projects.
Adding comments is easy - simply click the "Add comment" button on the editor toolbar as shown above. You then simply type your comment in the pop-up box that appears, and it'll be inserted into the document:
You can reply to comments left by your collaborators by clicking on the "reply" option at the foot of their comment:
It appears as a nested comment, and you can close the comments when you're done. To re-open any closed comments, simply click the comment icon in the document.
You can also see the comments when viewing tracked changes in compare mode:
Give it a try today! Create a new document and start commenting!
