LaTeX Error: Unknown float option `q'
This error appears when a float option is used which LaTeX does not recognise. The float specifier is written in the square brackets whenever you use a float such as a figure or a table i.e. the h
in \begin{figure}[h]
. The only valid float specifiers you are able to use are h
, t
, b
and p
, with the addition of H
if you include \usepackage{float}
in our preamble. If you write a float specifier which LaTeX does not recognize in the square brackets, it will generate an error such as the one below.
main.tex, line 5
See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation. Type H <return> for immediate help. ... l.5 \begin{figure}[q] Option `q' ignored and `p' used.
